About The Position

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is seeking a Senior Account Manager for the Equine, Farm & Ranch division. This role supports the Regional Director and Producer by upholding MMA-NE Service and Operational standards to achieve retention goals and prevent E&O exposure. As a client-facing position, the Senior Account Manager will build strong relationships with clients, intermediaries, and the insurance marketplace. The role involves collaboration with various internal departments including accounting, marketing, claims, loss control, and management to provide comprehensive servicing. The position requires a high degree of industry expertise and the ability to work independently, while maintaining professional interactions with producers and team members to proactively retain accounts.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ insurance industry experience with at least 2 years’ direct experience with Equine Farm & Ranch
  • Effective oral and written communication and relationship building skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to conduct presentations and speak to internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as agency management systems and web browser software
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Business Management, Finance or other relevant program
  • Experience with Applied Epic

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Regional Director and Producer by carrying out MMA-NE Service and Operational standards.
  • Exceeding retention goals and preventing E&O exposure.
  • Developing strong relationships with clients, intermediaries, and the insurance marketplace.
  • Interacting with accounting, marketing, claims, loss control, and management as part of the team’s servicing function.
  • Interacting professionally with producers and other team members while retaining accounts in a proactive manner.
  • Establishing the renewal strategy in concert with Producer, Service and Placement teams.
  • Expanding services at each renewal through upselling and cross-selling.
  • Securing exposure information from client in concert with the Producer and identifying any coverage deficiencies.
  • Conducting client contract reviews, as well as reviewing audits and endorsements.
  • Preparing, maintaining, and executing a service calendar in collaboration with clients, service team, and producer.
  • Assisting with pre-renewal/stewardship, renewal proposal presentations, claims reviews, and loss control meetings.
  • Addressing and resolving client issues.
