About The Position

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is seeking a Senior Account Manager for their Equine, Farm & Ranch division. This role supports the Regional Director and Producer by upholding MMA-NE Service and Operational standards to achieve retention goals and prevent E&O exposure. As a client-facing position, the Senior Account Manager will build strong relationships with clients, intermediaries, and the insurance marketplace. The role involves collaboration with accounting, marketing, claims, loss control, and management teams. The position requires a high degree of industry expertise and the ability to work independently, interacting professionally with producers and team members to retain accounts proactively.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ insurance industry experience.
  • At least 2 years’ direct experience with Equine Farm & Ranch.
  • Effective oral and written communication and relationship building skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to conduct presentations and speak to internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency with agency management systems and web browser software.
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Business Management, Finance or other relevant program.
  • Experience with Applied Epic.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Regional Director and Producer.
  • Carrying out MMA-NE Service and Operational standards.
  • Exceeding retention goals and preventing E&O exposure.
  • Developing strong relationships with clients, intermediaries, and the insurance marketplace.
  • Interacting with accounting, marketing, claims, loss control, and management.
  • Retaining accounts in a proactive manner.
  • Establishing the renewal strategy in concert with Producer, Service and Placement teams.
  • Expanding services at each renewal through upselling and cross selling.
  • Securing exposure information from client and identifying coverage deficiencies.
  • Conducting client contract reviews, and reviewing audits and endorsements.
  • Preparing, maintaining, and executing a service calendar.
  • Assisting with pre-renewal/stewardship, renewal proposal presentations, claims reviews, and loss control meetings.
  • Addressing and resolving client issues.
