About The Position

Culture’s mission is to simplify and accelerate bioprocess development to enable our customers to bring their biopharmaceutical products to market faster. With a focus on upstream cell culture process development, Culture has developed a unique platform that merges products, services and data management that can be applied to mammalian, microbial and viral vector production processes. This platform enables high-throughput process development projects to be rapidly and seamlessly executed directly by our customers in their own facilities, in our service laboratories, or both, all driven by our cloud-connected web application, accessible from anywhere, for designing, managing and analyzing experiments. We are looking for a Senior Account Executive to drive business development for our services and equipment business. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role that reports directly to the CEO. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of science and sales and wants to help shape the commercial future of a biotech company.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience selling services, research collaborations, software products, equipment, and/or consumables to biopharma or biotech companies.
  • Experience selling services for a CDMO is highly preferred.
  • Experience selling upstream bioprocessing services, equipment and technology.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to create data-driven business cases and pitches.
  • Excellent communicator and strong emotional intelligence.
  • Self-motivating and work well independently.
  • Adept collaborator and able to build relationships with clients and internal stakeholders that enable productive, commercial relationships.
  • Agile thinker who is excited to learn as much as possible about the capabilities of Culture’s technology and services.
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in a related scientific or engineering field. In lieu of this degree, experience in biotechnology and bioprocessing that will enable you to get up to speed on bioprocessing technology and science.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with biotechnology and biopharma companies; positioning Culture’s products and services to solve key technical challenges in bioprocess development.
  • Build and deepen relationships across customer organizations; understanding client needs, buying patterns, and org structures to drive bookings and revenue.
  • Assess client project needs and recommend Culture solutions that align with their milestones and scientific objectives.
  • Construct and present compelling proposals and structured deals that clearly communicate the value of partnering with Culture.
  • Negotiate contracts and collaborations with prospective clients.
  • Maintain consistent communication and follow-up with customers to maximize satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business.
  • Execute Go-to-Market strategy and contribute to marketing plans.
  • Become a subject matter expert on Culture’s technologies and services to confidently identify and qualify opportunities.
  • Attend trade shows and conferences; organize and lead community events in your territory to network and generate leads.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to foster a culture of collaboration, reliability, and innovation.
