About The Position

Vonage is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Senior Account Executive to join their sales team. This role is responsible for expanding existing accounts and acquiring new clients for Vonage's cloud communication products and services. The Senior Account Executive will build and maintain customer relationships within an assigned territory, understanding business needs and developing creative solutions. They will collaborate with internal Vonage teams to ensure a unified approach to solution development and customer satisfaction, taking shared ownership of account retention, renewal, and revenue growth. The role involves representing the full range of Vonage products and services to assigned customers throughout the planning cycle, ensuring their needs are met.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of quota carrying software or technology sales and account management experience
  • Experience managing the sales cycle - from business champion to C-Suite level
  • Track record of over-achieving quota, club, awards in past positions
  • Experience managing and closing complex sales cycles, demonstrated ownership of all aspects of territory management
  • Have executed a minimum $1M+ quota
  • Previous sales methodology training
  • Salesforce/CRM experience
  • Strong customer references
  • Self-motivated and driven
  • Able to work collaboratively within different teams and with differing levels of seniority
  • Passionate about delivering excellence
  • Self-starting and able to self-manage

  • Industry experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across the sales organization to ensure timely and accurate quote provision and order processing.
  • Work with engineering and technical teams.
  • Sell into companies ranging in size from 250-1000 employees.
  • Execute on the account plan to deliver maximum revenue potential.
  • Manage complete and complex sales cycles, often presenting to C-level executives the value of cloud-based applications.
  • Forecast sales activity, manage pipeline, and track revenue achievement using Salesforce.
  • Create satisfied customers.
  • Support implementation through ongoing and supportive customer contact, ensuring a smooth transition to account management and customer success management post-implementation.
