About The Position

Genesys is expanding in the U.S. Public Sector market, and this group within Genesys offers a creative, fast paced, entrepreneurial work environment where you’ll be at the center of Genesys’ innovation. As a Genesys Senior Account Executive, you’ll own the adoption and growth of emerging cloud technologies that allow government to more effectively and economically serve their constituents and employees. More importantly, you'll help government customers transform their citizen experiences. Your responsibilities will include developing and managing a growing customer base in the Pacific Northwest and capture new logo organizations. You will deepen business and technical relationships within your territory and help them launch new citizen facing services. This includes determining the most effective go-to-market strategies and collaborating with Genesys’ Solution Consultants, Channel Partners, Product Management and Executive leadership.

Requirements

  • Must have experience selling to a variety of state executive agencies including healthcare and human services, labor, transportation, and revenue.
  • 8+ years of enterprise sales and/or business development experience with a focus on state and local government customers.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • Live in Washington, Oregon or Idaho with an ability to travel to state capitals within your territory
  • Technical background in contact center technologies, DBaaS, SaaS, IaaS, CPaaS, and AI
  • Demonstrated history of consistently exceeding sales quota
  • Strong relationships with state agency executives
  • Knowledge of Federal Government security frameworks and how they impact State agencies such as FedRAMP, IRS Pub1075, CMS MARS-E, SSA-TSSR, and NIST 800-53.

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue and market share in a defined geographic region.
  • Have the drive and ambition to focus on new logo acquisition and expanding our customer base.
  • Articulate and implement strategic territory and account plans aligned to Genesys’ strategic direction.
  • Understand the technical considerations, certifications, and procurement processes specific to the public sector.
  • Identify specific prospects/partners/channels to approach while communicating a relevant value proposition for you customer.
  • Work closely with customers to ensure that they understand relevant CX and AI use cases and partner with Customer Success to ensure mission success.
  • Be a thought leader both in your territory and inside Genesys for CX and AI.
  • Collaborate with Genesys’ Legal and finance team and others to manage complex contract negotiations.
  • Maintain an accurate and robust pipeline of $6M+ and accurately forecast your business using MEDPICC sales methodology.
  • Develop and manage the sales pipeline by engaging with prospects, partners, and key customers.
  • Prepare and deliver business reviews to the senior management team regarding quarterly and yearly strategies that align with revenue growth expectations.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, as needed, within your territory.
  • Understanding and ability to leverage and manage consultants and lobbyists.
