About The Position

The Centre for Learning and Teaching (CLT) collaborates across UniSC to enhance learning and teaching capability, improve student success, and strengthen institutional effectiveness and sustainability. CLT promotes a culture of scholarly, learner-centred practice through initiatives that support academic integrity, professional development, curriculum design, curriculum accreditation and management, learning and teaching evaluation, and transformative educational experiences through innovation, technologies and learning spaces. As the Senior Academic Integrity Investigator, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the University's academic standards by leading complex investigations into suspected student academic misconduct and supporting the strategic delivery of UniSC's Academic Integrity Matters (AIM) function. Working closely with the Academic Integrity Lead, you will oversee operational service delivery, mentor investigators, provide expert policy and regulatory advice, and drive continuous improvement across academic integrity processes. This is a unique opportunity to influence institutional practice, strengthen governance, and contribute to a culture of fairness, integrity and student success.

Requirements

  • Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline, preferably with a strong data analysis focus, and/or extensive relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience investigating complex matters, ideally within higher education or another highly regulated environment, with knowledge of procedural fairness, governance and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and digital investigation skills, including experience analysing evidence, identifying patterns and using technology to support investigations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to provide specialist advice, influence decision-making and work effectively with individuals in sensitive situations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring teams, improving operational processes and managing competing priorities.
  • High attention to detail, sound organisational skills and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality, integrity and high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational delivery of the University's Academic Integrity Matters (AIM) function, ensuring high-quality, consistent and compliant investigation practices across the University.
  • Conduct and oversee complex investigations into suspected academic misconduct, providing expert advice on findings, outcomes and emerging risks.
  • Drive continuous improvement through policy development, stakeholder engagement, investigator capability building, governance support and data-informed reporting.
