Senior 3PL Relationship Manager

CrusoeDenver, CO
$130,000 - $160,000Onsite

About The Position

Crusoe is seeking a Senior 3PL Strategy & Relationship Manager to transition their logistics operations from a reactive model to a proactive, centralized strategy. This role is crucial for managing Crusoe's rapid scaling, which involves advanced ordering and strategic storage of long-lead datacenter infrastructure across a wide geographic area. The manager will be responsible for designing the third-party logistics (3PL) network, optimizing inventory availability, and navigating complex sales tax and corporate structures related to project funding. This strategic position requires a blend of inventory optimization, vendor negotiation, and cross-functional tax compliance coordination. The role is full-time and based on-site at the Denver, Colorado office.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in strategic logistics, supply chain management, or 3PL relationship management, ideally within capital-intensive tech infrastructure (Data Centers, Cloud, Telecom, or Energy).
  • Strong foundational understanding of how logistics networks impact corporate accounting, specifically regarding project-based funding, inventory asset holding costs, and sales/use tax implications.
  • Proven track record of transforming a decentralized, reactive operational warehouse footprint into a centralized, data-driven inventory hub.
  • Experience taking high-cost, third-party boutique logistics or customs processes and successfully building those capabilities in-house.
  • Deep understanding of material planning, managing lead times, and executing fungible inventory strategies in high-shortage environments.
  • Familiarity with modern ERPs, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and data visualization tools to build internal logistics dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic 3PL Network Architecture: Design, implement, and manage Crusoe’s regionalized and centralized 3PL warehousing network to buffer supply chain shortages and optimize lead times for data center deployments.
  • Tax & Regulatory Compliance Integration: Partner closely with internal Finance and Tax teams to ensure all warehousing strategies account for separate project-funding models and localized sales/use tax implications. Build tracking frameworks to eliminate tax exposure when storing assets across different jurisdictions.
  • Inventory Centralization & Fungibility Strategy: Establish frameworks to identify "fungible" vs. site-specific inventory. Create a dynamic redeployment strategy to safely relocate high-demand components when critical operational sites face shortages.
  • Strategic Supplier Management: Move beyond transactional 3PL relationships. Establish robust SLAs, QBRs, and performance dashboards to ensure our logistics partners scale seamlessly at Crusoe’s speed.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the strategic link between Product, Supply Chain Planning, Engineering, and Finance to translate future infrastructure roadmaps into tangible warehousing footprint requirements.
