About The Position

Liquid Development is seeking Senior 3D Environment Artists to join their talent pool for potential 2026 opportunities. This role involves creating high-quality, game-ready environments and embedding within a collaborative, cross-functional team. Responsibilities include supporting quality control, providing feedback, assisting leads and art directors in client communication, and leading department growth through training and mentoring. Within the first 90 days, the artist will learn a proprietary engine, deliver a complete environment area with minimal supervision, and demonstrate clear communication and progress tracking.

Requirements

  • A strong portfolio with recent work showcasing a range of stylistically different pieces showcasing real-time environments, hero assets, or modular kits (must submit to be considered)
  • 6+ years of experience in AAA video game production with a track record of shipped titles
  • Proficiency in industry standard 3D modeling, sculpting, and texturing software
  • Experience shipping environment art in multiple game engines.
  • Technical proficiency in game environment art workflows such as topology, UVs, and optimized meshes
  • Strong knowledge of game production pipelines
  • Strong proactive collaboration and communication skills
  • Experience in training and mentoring other artists
  • English proficiency: B2 or higher required

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with art leadership to understand and develop artistically consistent captivating worlds
  • Model, texture and integrate in-game environments based on concepts, 3D mock-ups and art direction specifications
  • Build and maintain modular environment kits, including materials and trim sheets
  • Contribute to the project’s organization and optimization of both data and production pipelines
  • Track and fix bugs during production and post production
  • Play a key part in supporting quality control through the continuous review of technical and artistic work, providing constructive feedback to ensure the entire team maintains visual cohesion and the expected level of quality.
  • Assist your Lead Artists and Art Directors in communicating with clients and other strategic stakeholders, translating their requirements and visions into clear production guidelines and demonstrating professional expectation management.
  • Lead the department's growth by training and mentoring other artists, proactively designing the technical documentation, style guides, and educational materials necessary to standardize the organization's workflows.
