About The Position

Weston College is seeking a SEND Enrichment and Engagement Officer to lead learner enrichment and development for SEND learners across the College. The role is term-time only and works 37 hours per week. The successful candidate may be asked to work at any of the College’s sites. Interviews will take place on-site at a College campus in Weston-super-Mare.

Requirements

• Experience successfully engaging with young people and organising events or activities through a voluntary and/or paid role.
• Ability to maintain an independent viewpoint on behalf of the student body.
• Ability to communicate professionally and articulately with colleagues and other professionals at all levels, internally and externally.
• Ability to manage a challenging and demanding workload and make good use of resources to support task completion.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the College’s SEND enrichment programme, engaging SEND learners in developing an offer that meets their needs.
• Collaborate with and build positive links with local community groups and service providers to enhance the enrichment offer.
• Contribute to other learner-engagement-related tasks.
