About The Position

The Center for Acoustics and Vibration (College of Engineering, The Pennsylvania State University) is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented part-time team member to support our seminar series and website throughout the academic year. In this role, you’ll help us deliver a smooth, welcoming seminar experience—from promotion to day-of logistics—working closely with the Director of the Center for Acoustics and Vibration.

Requirements

Strong communication skills (email writing and short promotional copy)
Comfort using Zoom and learning basic website posting workflows
Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
Comfortable with on-site logistics and basic A/V setup (training/backup support available)

Responsibilities

Coordinate bi-weekly seminars during the academic year (arrive early, set up basic A/V, serve as the on-site point person, and help with clean-up)
Set up Zoom webinars and support hybrid/virtual speaker events
Create and post event promotions (website posts, email announcements/reminders, and other channels as needed)
Post event recordings to the website after each event
