About The Position

Raytheon is hiring for a Semiconductor Equipment Engineer assigned to 1st shift (6:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Thursday, plus every other Friday) on a 9/80 schedule. Candidate will be a shift support engineer and be responsible for the uptime and maintenance of various fab processing equipment such as evaporators, coat/develop tracks, Ashers, sputter, Wet/Dry etch tools, etc. and working hands-on in a cleanroom environment. The candidate will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of systems including and not limited to pumps, bulk fill systems, T/H units, power supplies, etc. This Includes high levels of experience, electrical, electro-mechanical, and gas systems typically found in a semiconductor operation. Future expansion to support a wider range of equipment is expected.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Experience maintaining, troubleshooting and/or repairing semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
  • U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar with SEMI 10 semiconductor standards
  • Read and understand equipment manuals and schematics.
  • Have a fundamental knowledge of SPC controls with the ability to implement SPC control plans on existing equipment and new equipment installations.
  • Able to document work and provide detailed pass down.
  • Ability to pull and analyze tool date.
  • Experience with predictive maintenance and SPC controls using FDC software.
  • Knowledge of thin‑film metrology (ellipsometry, XRR, TEM, XPS, FTIR).
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and support a dynamic production setting.
  • Proficient use of MS Office products.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing equipment issues using experience, system knowledge, and technical manuals.
  • Triage and repair equipment based on priority and operational needs.
  • Support the Emergency Response Team (ERT) as needed.
