About The Position

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Semi Driver on a permanent full-time basis for our Transportation Operations team. This position requires on-site work and is based in Edmonton, Alberta. The role involves operating a semi-truck and/or body job unit for rural and city deliveries, city pickups, and trailer spotting. Responsibilities include preparing trailers for deliveries, performing minor mechanical work on equipment, and conducting truck and trailer inspections. The Semi Driver will work closely with other transportation professionals, demonstrating customer focus by ensuring safe and efficient deliveries. This role is crucial in helping to feed Western Canada by supplying fresh groceries and wholesale solutions to independent retail stores and other food establishments.

Requirements

Have a grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
Have a Class 1 license with a minimum of 6 months experience.
Can pass an in-cab evaluation by a qualified Transportation Supervisor.
Must be able to pass a substance test.

Responsibilities

Operate a semi-truck and/or body job unit which may include rural and city deliveries, city pickups, and spotting of trailers.
Prepare trailers for deliveries including cleaning interiors and fuelling reefers.
Perform minor mechanical work on trucks, semi-trailers, and reefers when required.
Perform truck and trailer inspections and report on condition of equipment.
Other duties as required.
