About The Position

Sunstate Equipment Co. is hiring a Semi Driver. This position is local, with a typical schedule of Monday – Friday and an occasional rotating on-call schedule. The typical shift is 7 AM - 5 PM, with overtime eligibility. The pay is dependent on experience, with a typical range starting at $30+ per hour, and pay is weekly. Requirements

Unrestricted class A CDL with a Tanker Endorsement.
DOT Medical Card.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a semi.
Physical agility to load, offload, and secure equipment with chains and binders.
Customer-oriented with the ability to instruct customers on equipment operation.
Team-player mentality.
Safety oriented.
Coachable, with a willingness to learn, adapt, and meet Sunstate's standard of excellence.
Detail-oriented.
Capable of providing superior customer service.

Nice To Haves

Experience as a wrecker or flatbed driver hauling heavy construction equipment.
Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

Drive a semi-truck locally.
Load, offload, and secure equipment with chains and binders.
Instruct customers on the safe and proper operation of equipment.
Complete paperwork.
Ensure customer satisfaction.
Maintain communication with co-workers and customers effectively and professionally.
Prioritize safety and maintain a safe driving record.
