About The Position

The Self-Pay Representative role involves utilizing overall knowledge of the Revenue Service Center to provide accurate information when communicating with patients. Their primary focus is to secure payments on outstanding patient balances, by providing account information and payment options, along with updating insurance information when applicable. Outbound calls are made utilizing an automated dialer, with predefined campaign parameters for outgoing calls along with assigned accounts work queues. We are committed to offering flexible work options where approved and stated in the job posting. However, we are currently not considering candidates who reside or plan to reside in the following states: California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington. Colorado for remote caregivers’ whose assigned Intermountain facility or service area is not based in Colorado. Please note that a video interview through Microsoft Teams will be required as well as potential onsite interviews and meetings

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Passing score and certificate of required language issued by approved language testing vendor
  • Regular attendance during scheduled business hours

Responsibilities

  • Works out of an automated predefined que, calling patients to discuss balances due and payment options
  • Provides high level insurance and patient responsibility education
  • Negotiates with patients to resolve their financial liability and educates on availability of financial assistance
  • Establish payment plans within guidelines
  • Process credit card payments
  • Responsible for meeting productivity and quality measure set
  • Document accounts accurately in the EMR (Epic).
