We are seeking a client-focused Self-Funded Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and servicing large self-funded EB accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, and delivering tailored solutions that align with their business needs. You will act as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships with clients while collaborating with internal teams to provide exceptional service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in self-funded account management, employee benefits, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of self-funded insurance plans, stop-loss coverage, and claims management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data and presenting actionable insights to clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CEBS, RHU, or similar) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for self-funded clients, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and vendors.
  • Analyze client data, claims, and trends to provide strategic recommendations and cost-containment solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including production to design and implement customized self-funded insurance programs.
  • Conduct regular client meetings to review plan performance, financials, and compliance updates.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging solutions in the self-funded space.
  • Assist in the renewal process, including negotiating terms with carriers and vendors.
  • Provide training and education to clients on self-funded plan management and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain monthly reporting and deliverables
