Assist individuals with brain injury, intellectual disabilities, and other neurological disabilities in achieving a challenging, stimulating, dignified life by serving as an advocate and liaison for and on behalf of individuals’ rights and benefits. This role involves providing supervision, training, and assistance in accomplishing activities of daily living, including self-care, social, recreation, community, and domestic skills for a man in his mid-20s. The individual is seeking support in community engagement (accompanying to hobby clubs and classes), communication support (helping communicate effectively in the community), and independent living skills (teaching daily living skills to increase independence). The individual enjoys reading, exploring topics of interest online, and practicing martial arts. He has more availability during spring, summer, and winter breaks.
