Assist individuals with brain injury, intellectual disabilities, and other neurological disabilities in achieving a challenging, stimulating, dignified life by serving as an advocate and liaison for and on behalf of individuals’ rights and benefits. This role involves providing supervision, training, and assistance in accomplishing activities of daily living, including self-care, social, recreation, community, and domestic skills. The position specifically supports a man in his mid-20s who needs assistance with community engagement (accompanying to hobby clubs and classes), communication support, and independent living skills. The individual enjoys reading, exploring topics online, and practicing martial arts, and is currently pursuing a degree in social work. More availability is needed during spring, summer, and winter breaks.
