About The Position
We are actively recruiting a passionate Special Education Specialist for a full-time, campus-based role within an Illinois partner district. This instructional position oversees a self-contained classroom of approximately 10 students presenting neurodiverse learning profiles and complex developmental needs. The ideal candidate will excel in developing individualized learning pathways, establishing structured daily routines, and cultivating an inclusive environment tailored primarily for students on the autism spectrum who require substantial, high-intensity tiers of support.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Exceptional Student Education, or a closely related discipline.
- An active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a valid Special Education (LBS1) endorsement.
- Advanced classroom management capabilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication.
- Strong organizational skills.
