About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated nurse to support safe and effective patient care within our Perioperative Sedation Program. In this role, you’ll review patient medical histories to confirm they’re appropriate candidates for Nurse-Administered Sedation, monitor and interpret vital signs, and provide conscious sedation under the direction of an approved provider. You will also assist anesthesiologists with regional anesthesia procedures and help ensure consistent, high-quality care before, during, and after sedation. This position includes educating patients and staff, serving as a resource for pain management, and contributing to the overall success of the sedation program. Collaboration is key—you’ll work closely with the Department of Anesthesia, day-charge RNs, Nurse Educators, and the Surgery Clinical Resource Nurse to support clinical quality, safety, and excellent service throughout Perioperative Services. This position will train at the St. Cloud Hospital and then work at both the CentraCare Plaza and the St. Cloud Hospital.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program required.
  • Current Minnesota RN License required.
  • BSN or higher required within three years.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider card per established policy required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree Nursing preferred.
  • 2 years minimum experience in critical care or procedural area preferred.
