About The Position

MCS is hiring for a Security Systems Programmer in Tampa, FL. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits. The Security Systems Programmer must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects, products, and vendors. The Security Systems Programmer will require good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. It is important that candidates keep abreast of industry trends and developments, as well as applicable Government regulations. This is not an IT Software position. The Security Systems Programmer must install, program and configure commercial electronic security systems for enterprise commercial clients (door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, et cetera).

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
The ability to obtain a JLA (Jessica Lunsford Act) badge.
3+ years of field experience in installing and programming the following: Access Control: AMAG, Genetec, Lenel; Video Management: Axis, Avigilon; Intrusion Detection: DMP, Bosch; Fire Systems: Notifier, Fire Lite, Silent Knight
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
A current passport is required for Overseas travel.
Must exhibit professional behavior that promotes teamwork, fosters cooperation and enhances productivity in the workplace.
Must be well organized with the ability to coordinate, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to work effectively with various external customers including government, military, and contractor personnel at all levels.
Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the company.
Must adhere to OSHA Standards.

Responsibilities

Install, program and configure commercial electronic security systems for enterprise commercial clients (door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, et cetera)
Troubleshoot new security installations to ensure the systems are functioning properly and satisfy codes
Run electrical wiring; related activities include drilling, trenching, and aerial runs
Responsible for the connection of control panels, application requirements, wire concealment and security software installation
