About The Position

Koorsen is hiring a Security Systems Installation Technician in the Indianapolis/Lebanon, Indiana area. The technician installs security products and systems, including intrusion detection, video surveillance, access control, intercom, and monitoring systems. Systems must be installed according to drawings, and customers should be shown how their systems function. The role involves professional interaction with customers, vendors, and coworkers, compliance with safety practices and company policies, and a willingness to continue learning. The posted salary is $19–$40 per hour, depending on experience, with a sign-on bonus of up to $2,500, depending on experience. The schedule is 7:45 a.m.–4:45 p.m., Monday through Friday. The position includes physical work such as using hand and power tools, lifting and carrying at least 50 pounds, pushing and pulling more than 75 pounds, and climbing ladders reaching at least 12 feet or using a man lift. Work may involve exposure to outdoor weather, temperature changes, and loud noises. Applicants who receive an offer must complete employment eligibility verification, including an I-9 and E-Verify, and undergo background checks and a urinalysis drug test.

Requirements

Read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
Have 1–3 years of experience installing security systems, access control, and CCTV.
Pass drug and background screenings.
Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Be able to meet state licensing requirements and vendor certifications.
Have a valid driver’s license.
Safely and effectively use general hand and power tools.
Use a cell phone and phone apps effectively.
Lift and carry at least 50 pounds and push and pull more than 75 pounds.
Climb a ladder reaching at least 12 feet and use a man lift to perform services.

Nice To Haves

Security, fire life safety, or low-voltage experience.
Access and video manufacturer certifications.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Basic understanding of IT functionality.
