Security System Installation Technician
About The Position
Auxitium is hiring Security Systems Installers to support a growing backlog of commercial security projects. The job posting identifies work in the Charleston, Beaufort, and Bluffton area, as well as the Greenville, Rock Hill, and Charlotte area; the position is based out of Rock Hill, South Carolina. Technicians install, support, and maintain commercial security technologies, including CCTV and IP camera systems, access control systems, card and badge readers, door contacts and sensors, magnetic locks, electric strikes, push-to-exit devices, and associated low-voltage cabling infrastructure. The role involves installing and wiring security devices and door hardware, pulling and routing low-voltage cabling, terminating cables and devices, reading project drawings and device layouts, troubleshooting low-voltage systems, and helping meet project schedules while maintaining quality and safety standards. Candidates with structured cabling experience who have assisted with or installed security devices are encouraged to apply. This is an onsite contract-to-hire position. The listed pay range is $18.00–$25.00 per hour. Requirements
- At least 1 year of low-voltage, structured cabling, or security installation experience.
- Some hands-on camera and/or access control experience.
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
- Reliable transportation.
- Strong attendance and reliability.
- Ability to work on ladders and lifts.
- Ability to work in commercial construction environments.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Professional communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice To Haves
- Experience installing cameras and access control systems.
