The Security Supervisor in Massachusetts oversees day-to-day security operations without the use of armed forces. This role ensures compliance with state regulations and company policies, manages a team of security officers, and coordinates with external agencies to maintain a secure environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of experience in security, with 1+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Prior experience in a high-security environment such as cannabis, law enforcement, or similar.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage security teams.
  • Knowledge of Massachusetts state-specific security regulations.
  • Proficiency in using security technologies such as CCTV and access control systems.
  • Experience with conflict resolution and crisis management.
  • Ability to remain composed and professional in high-pressure situations.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Availability for night shifts, weekends, and on-call emergencies.
  • All candidates must be willing to submit to a background check to be considered for the position.

Nice To Haves

  • First Aid/CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the security team, ensuring high performance and adherence to protocols.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide continuous training.
  • Develop and implement security protocols and emergency response plans.
  • Ensure full coverage across all shifts, managing personnel scheduling effectively.
  • Act as the primary contact for security incidents, ensuring swift and effective responses.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Security Manager to enhance security measures and process improvements.
  • Conduct audits and drills to ensure facility safety and security.
  • Monitor security systems, including surveillance and access control.
  • Maintain compliance with Massachusetts's specific security regulations.
