About The Position

InterContinental Bellevue at The Avenue is seeking a professional, service-oriented unarmed Security Supervisor to lead daily security operations for our luxury property. In this role, you will help ensure the safety and well-being of our guests, residents, colleagues, and assets while providing leadership, guidance, and support to the security team and upholding exceptional hospitality standards. No two days are the same, but you’ll mainly: Providing a warm, welcoming presence while maintaining a secure environment for guests, residents, colleagues, and visitors. Supervising daily security operations across the hotel, residences, and parking areas to ensure consistent coverage and service. Leading, coaching, and supporting Security Officers by setting expectations, reinforcing standards, and promoting accountability. Assisting with team scheduling, shift coverage, daily task delegation, and communication across all shifts, including mornings, evenings, and overnights. Conducting regular patrols and inspections to identify risks, address safety concerns, and ensure compliance with security procedures. Responding swiftly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, guest concerns, and escalated situations. Reviewing, documenting, and following up on incidents involving guests, residents, employees, accidents, lock issues, noise complaints, and other security matters. Supporting onboarding and training of new team members, including emergency procedures, reporting standards, and service expectations. Collaborating with Hotel and Residential teams to strengthen preventive safety programs and create a safe, seamless luxury experience. Assisting with medical emergencies and administering first aid when necessary. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor and the ability to remain calm and confident in high-pressure situations.
  • Previous experience in security operations, with prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Experience responding to incidents, completing detailed reports, and enforcing policies and procedures consistently and professionally.
  • Physical endurance and mobility, including the ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
  • CPR/AED certification required for emergency response situations.
  • Experience with CCTV, access control systems, incident reporting tools, and related security technology.
  • Strong communication skills, including email communication and coordination using MS Outlook and other workplace systems.
  • Ability to use BuildingLink, KYC, Relay panic buttons, and other computer systems as needed.
  • Prior hospitality or luxury property experience is a plus, but a service-driven mindset is essential.
