About The Position

US Concerts is seeking a Venue Security Supervisor to supervise and coordinate security department activities and staff at Brooklyn Paramount. The role includes directing security personnel, providing guest service, supporting staff training and assignments, and helping ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, and applicable laws. The supervisor may also perform management functions under the direction of the Security Manager and Operations Manager.

The position supports venue safety and security throughout events, including assigning and scheduling team members, communicating event details, documenting daily activities and unusual occurrences, and assisting with venue closing. It also participates in the venue’s sustainability program, which may include waste sorting, recycling collection, and educating fans about sustainability efforts.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment, and enforcement procedures.
• Strong strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Acute judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
• Strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs.
• Ability to meet the position’s physical demands, including constant walking, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying more than 50 pounds, with occasional sitting.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise security staff and other employees performing security services for guests.
• Greet and assist guests and respond to guest inquiries and complaints.
• Lead staff, provide ongoing training, position staff, communicate event-specific details, and manage breaks.
• Assist the Operations Manager with compliance with security policies and procedures and local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Oversee security staff productivity and work assignments, and communicate assignment challenges and status to the Operations Manager before the shift concludes.
• Participate in the venue’s sustainability program, including activities such as sorting waste, collecting recycling, conserving resources, and educating fans about sustainability efforts.
• Work with crew members at the end of a show to close the venue, potentially collecting recyclables and picking up and storing event equipment.
• Train and evaluate security team members.
• Assign and schedule team members to specific duties.
• Model and enforce safety, health, and security priorities.
• Write reports documenting daily activities and irregularities, including property or equipment damage, theft, unauthorized persons, and unusual occurrences.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Security Manager.
