Weekend & Night Shift Security Supervisor
About The Position
Sorsen Inc. is seeking a dedicated Weekend & Night Shift Supervisor to ensure coverage during critical hours, handling call-outs, one-off projects, and field issues. This role serves as the primary point of contact for dispatch, field guards, and branch leadership during the shift, ensuring seamless operations and preventing issues from being delayed. The supervisor will be responsible for maintaining coverage, responding to emergencies, conducting field presence to ensure standards are met, managing timekeeping, documenting all significant events, and escalating issues appropriately.
Requirements
- Experience supervising security, guard, or field operations staff (2+ years preferred).
- Ability to make staffing and response decisions independently and under pressure.
- Strong documentation habits: clear, factual, and timely.
- Reliable availability for weekend and night shifts, including holidays.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between Reno-area accounts.
- Nevada PILB registration (or ability to obtain prior to start).
Responsibilities
- Ensure all contracted posts are staffed, with zero unfulfilled posts during the shift.
- Respond to call-outs and confirm replacement coverage within 20 minutes.
- Manage emergency staffing decisions for one-off projects (e.g., fire watches, special events) without requiring next-business-day approval.
- Conduct in-person visits to posts and accounts to verify guard performance, uniform standards, and adherence to post orders.
- Confirm that patrol hits are completed on schedule and fully documented, including photo requirements.
- Identify and correct timekeeping discrepancies in real-time.
- Log all significant shift events, including guard performance issues, client interactions, call-outs, and resolutions, in Belfry before the end of the shift.
- Maintain documentation to a standard suitable for dispute, complaint, or claim reviews.
- Serve as the primary contact for dispatch and branch leadership on nights and weekends.
- Determine when issues can be resolved independently and when escalation is necessary, making these decisions quickly.
