About The Position

Apache Mills, Inc. is seeking a Supervisor to join its Operations Team and support Production in its manufacturing operations. This is a full-time position on the weekend night shift, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The job description notes that it is not complete and that other duties may be assigned as required by business conditions. The Supervisor oversees production workflows and workforce operations to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and customer-service standards. The role includes planning staffing and labor utilization, monitoring equipment and processes, developing hourly employees, and ensuring consistent compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Experience managing high-volume production processes in a manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications, including experience with payroll software.
Knowledge of OSHA standards and safe manufacturing practices.
Ability to work 36+ hours, with flexibility to alter coverage.
Strong manufacturing aptitude, sound judgment, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Regular and predictable attendance.
Clear and effective communication skills and ability to work respectfully with employees at all organizational levels.
Ability to work cooperatively, courteously, and respectfully with team members, vendors, and visitors.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and consistently apply company processes and procedures.
Forklift operating experience and ability to obtain and maintain a valid lift truck certification.
Successfully complete drug and background screenings.

Responsibilities

Ensure production requirements are achieved by adhering to assigned schedules.
Plan, manage, monitor, and evaluate workflow to meet safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Develop and implement plans for efficient labor utilization and staffing needs.
Review operating procedures and space utilization, modifying them when necessary.
Evaluate and troubleshoot systems and processes that affect production efficiency.
Monitor and address equipment repairs, maintenance repairs, and safety concerns.
Partner with maintenance and engineering to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
Create and promote an environment that encourages exceptional customer service.
Recruit, select, and develop hourly employees.
Mentor and empower employees through delegation and coaching.
Support and consistently administer company policies and procedures.
Ensure good housekeeping throughout manufacturing, distribution, and common areas of the facility.
Meet or exceed performance and productivity standards.
Promote a safe and healthy work environment on company properties for employees and visitors.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.
Perform other assignments as requested or as business needs require.
