About The Position

The Security Specialist provides comprehensive security support within the Security Office, ensuring compliance with all applicable security policies, procedures, and federal regulations. This role requires a highly professional, detail-oriented individual capable of conducting security checks, preparing analytical products, and delivering clear verbal and written communications to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Active TS Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in any field and a minimum of one (1) year of relevant security experience; or, A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a security-related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to use a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Conduct indices checks and National Crime Information Center (NCIC) checks in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Evaluate, interpret, and apply security policies, procedures, and guidelines to support organizational mission requirements.
• Prepare, maintain, and analyze complex spreadsheets, reports, and briefing materials.
• Develop and deliver security briefings and debriefings to personnel and leadership.
• Plan, prioritize, and execute assigned security tasks efficiently and independently.
• Prepare comprehensive written communications, including reports, memorandums, and correspondence.
• Provide professional, customer-service-oriented security support to government and contractor personnel.
