AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training. The Security Specialist will assist the Marine Corps Deputy Commandant for Information ICD 705 Task Force (TF) across all phases to assist receiving units to prepare their classified programs, oversee and document construction, and establish and operate the completed and accredited ICD 705 Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facilities (SCIFs) and Special Access Control Facilities (SAPFs). This role involves assisting the on-site Task Force Site Security Manager (SSM) with documenting material delivery, construction during site preparation, structure assembly, and installation of all mechanical, electrical, and information technology components. The specialist will also help plan and securely transport structures or modular segments to receiving units, maintain oversight of on-site construction activities and security/safety best practices in accordance with ICD 705 technical requirements and other relevant DIA and Navy policies, and provide organized documentation and feedback to support Authorizing Official (AO) decisions. Additionally, the role includes assisting with the preparation or updates of formal security paperwork for accreditation, supporting receiving units with SCIF/SAPF maintenance processes and policies, and transitioning into personnel and physical security support for operating accredited facilities.
