About The Position

AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Security Specialist-Junior to support Advanced Aircraft Research, Development, Test & Evaluation. The salary range of this position is $60,000.00 - $68,000.00 and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required. The Digital Analytics, Infrastructure, and Technology Advancement (DAiTA) Group is at the cutting edge of Advanced Aircraft Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (AARDT&E). Our state-of-the-art laboratories are equipped to work seamlessly together, enabling comprehensive testing and evaluation of aircraft and weapons systems across the Department of Defense. The Integrated Battlespace Simulation and Test (IBST) Department is at the heart of this innovative ecosystem. This team is the driving force behind the research, development, management, design, documentation, fabrication, installation, integration, testing, evaluation, operation, and maintenance of the Air Combat Environment Test Facility (ACETEF) and other DAiTA AARDT&E capabilities, laboratories, and facilities. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience with MS Suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Willingness to work in a secure environment with limited to no access to personal electronic devices
  • The ability to obtain and maintain Clearance in accordance with 5205.07
  • Holds final Secret eligibility-The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with JADE
  • Knowledge and experience with the U.S. Government security standards of 32 Code of Federal Regulation Part 117, NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives, Security Executive Agent Directives and the DoD SAP Security Manual 5205.07 (Volumes 1- 4)
  • Experience and understanding of the ICD-705 Technical Specifications (intrusion detection systems, access control devices, TEMPEST requirements, drawings/specifications, etc.)
  • Knowledge of advanced security principles and government special security regulations

Responsibilities

  • Learns and applies the requirements of DoD 5205.07 volumes 1-4 for one or more Special Access Programs (SAP) within the Combined Security Office (CSO)
  • Initiates, processes and tracks personnel security actions such as Personnel Access Requests (PARs), nominations for employees to special programs, foreign travel/contact reports, briefings and debriefings
  • Interfaces with customer counterparts in a tactful, diplomatic and professional manner
  • Creates needed procedures for the secure and successful execution of assigned program(s)
  • Administers and controls classified material following the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)
  • Plans and supervises the building and accreditation of secure facilities following Intelligence Community Directive 705
