About The Position

Security Specialist means any person’s whose primary duties are to protect person’s or property. Security Specialist means non-commissioned. Security Specialists are not authorized to exercise commissioned law enforcement actions. Responsible for investigations of criminal offenses that occur on facility property. Enforce facility rules and regulations. Responsible for conducting non-law enforcement information reports on hospital property. Maintain visibility to establish security presence within the medical centers and other assigned areas/facilities. Must be able to thrive in a complex environment and have a passion for public relations.

Requirements

• High School completion / GED
• OPOTA – Required Basic Security Guard Training
• State required 20-hours of firearms training
• Valid Ohio Driver's License Required
• Pass Substance/Drug Test
• Comply to Premier Health Care Required Immunizations
• Pass a Background Investigation
• No prior job-related work experience
• Individual able to work under pressure with many interruptions while remaining calm and pleasant to the public and facility personnel
• Good written and oral communications and organizational skills
• Some typing and computer experience required
• Effective telephone skills

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree
• 1-3 prior job-related work experience
• Computer skills desirable
