EchoStar is seeking a Security Solutions Architect to strengthen security across its digital ecosystem and mitigate risks related to unauthorized access, supply chain exposure, and identity exploitation. The role establishes a secure Identity and Access Management (IAM) framework and deploys Zero Trust Architecture across corporate and vendor environments. It addresses challenges including reducing authentication friction, controlling lateral movement within networks, and continuously measuring security control effectiveness against evolving threats, while aligning IT, compliance, and business units around scalable cybersecurity defenses. The architect designs and deploys IAM capabilities, implements identity-driven user and network segmentation, measures production IAM control effectiveness, integrates AI-driven threat detection and automation, and leads security intake for new enterprise initiatives. The position also uses Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI), vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and automated control verification to identify and remediate access vulnerabilities. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related discipline, or commensurate industry experience is required. Candidates must have critical experience demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity principles, concepts, and technologies, including experience with IAM frameworks, Zero Trust Architecture and network segmentation controls, CTI frameworks, and vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools. Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview. Visa sponsorship is not available. Compensation is $127,050 to $181,500 per year. The role is within EchoStar's Technology teams.
