About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Shift Supervisor for a union site in Secaucus, New Jersey. The role pays $22.00 per hour to start, with shifts available Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

The Security Shift Supervisor supervises and coordinates the delivery of quality services during an assigned shift at a customer site. The supervisor serves as a liaison between the site supervisor, Account Manager or Field Operations Manager, and security officers. Responsibilities include supervising staff and providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within approved guidelines.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of security experience.
• Supervisor experience.
• Experience with access control and badges.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet; intermediate computer skills are required to use site-specific wireless technology.
• A guard card or license; licensing requirements may depend on state or local law and may be required before employment.
• Must be at least 25 years of age, as stated in the posting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact professionally with personnel at all levels and the public.
• Ability to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
• Ability to write neat, legible reports and logs and understand operating procedures and instructions.
• Ability to handle common and crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
• Successful completion of a background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test; a driving-record check may also be required.
• Ability to work in cold, wet, snowy, or hot weather; occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds; occasionally climb stairs, ramps, or ladders; and stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services during an assigned shift at a customer site.
• Act as a liaison between the site supervisor, Account Manager or Field Operations Manager, and professional security officers.
• Supervise assigned-shift staff and provide coaching, recognition, and discipline within approved empowerment guidelines.
• Prepare written reports and logs.
• Handle common and crisis situations at the client site calmly and efficiently.
• Provide exceptional customer service and communication.
