About The Position

Allied Universal Services is hiring a part-time Security Shift Supervisor for a college campus in South Orange, New Jersey. The role supervises and coordinates quality security services during an assigned shift and serves as a liaison between the site supervisor, Account Manager or Field Operations Manager, and security officers. The supervisor oversees staff on the assigned shift, providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within the approved empowerment range. The stated pay rate is $19.65 per hour. Available shifts are Wednesday 3:30 p.m. through Thursday 8:00 a.m. (double shift) and Thursday 11:30 p.m. through Friday 8:00 a.m. Paid orientation, uniforms and equipment at no cost, and training opportunities are offered.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact professionally with personnel at all levels and the general public.
• Ability to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
• Ability to prepare written reports and logs neatly and legibly.
• Ability to read and understand operating procedures and instructions.
• A valid driver's license is required for the advertised position; driving positions also require at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record under the stated standards, the minimum insurance required by company policy, and the ability to operate a vehicle safely.
• Successful completion of a background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test; a driver's record check may also be required.
• Intermediate computer skills to use wireless technology at client-specific sites.
• Ability to handle common and crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare written reports and logs.
