About The Position

The Security Ready Reserve Officer supports multiple aspects of security operations and serves as a trusted resource for the security team. The role responds to alarms, emergencies, incidents, and unusual events; identifies, documents, and escalates security concerns; and assists with training, coaching, and onboarding security personnel. The officer completes incident reports, activity logs, and other operational documentation, maintains accurate records, and communicates operational concerns and incidents to supervisors, leadership, and security personnel.

This position is suited to experienced security professionals who can adapt to changing operational needs and assignments. It requires flexibility to work any shift, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Duties may involve extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking, indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions, patrols, and rapid responses to incidents.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior security experience required.
• Ability to work any shift, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Comfort using technology and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Windows operating systems, and electronic reporting and incident management systems.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to conduct patrols and respond quickly to incidents.
• Ability to maintain focus and situational awareness throughout the shift.
• Strong security awareness and sound judgment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a Security Supervisor, Control Room Operator, Security Responder, Screening Officer, or Lead Officer.
• Experience with access control systems, CCTV monitoring, visitor management systems, and security screening procedures.
• Experience in corporate, critical infrastructure, industrial, technology, or high-security environments.
• Training, coaching, or mentoring experience.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.

Responsibilities

• Respond to alarms, emergencies, incidents, and unusual events.

• Train and certify security personnel on site procedures, policies, and operational responsibilities.
• Coach and mentor security officers.
• Assist with onboarding and development of new personnel when assigned.

• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with site procedures.
• Communicate operational concerns and incidents to supervisors, leadership, and security personnel.
• Support multiple security functions and adapt to operational needs and changing assignments.
