About The Position

The Security Ready Reserve Officer supports multiple aspects of security operations and serves as a resource for the security team. The role responds appropriately to alarms, emergencies, incidents, and unusual events; identifies, documents, and escalates security concerns according to established procedures; and assists with training and developing security personnel. The officer also completes incident reports, activity logs, and other operational documentation, maintains accurate records, and communicates operational concerns and incidents to supervisors, leadership, and security personnel.

This position is suited to experienced security professionals who can adapt to operational needs and changing assignments. Duties may include working indoors and outdoors, conducting patrols, and responding quickly to incidents. Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior security experience required.
• Ability to work any shift, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Comfort using technology and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Windows operating systems, and electronic reporting and incident management systems.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to maintain focus and situational awareness throughout the shift.
• Strong security awareness and sound judgment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a Security Supervisor, Control Room Operator, Security Responder, Screening Officer, or Lead Officer.
• Experience with access control systems, CCTV monitoring, visitor management systems, and security screening procedures.
• Experience in corporate, critical infrastructure, industrial, technology, or high-security environments.
• Training, coaching, or mentoring experience.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.

Responsibilities

• Respond appropriately to alarms, emergencies, incidents, and unusual events.
• Identify, document, and escalate security concerns in accordance with established procedures.
• Train and certify security personnel on site procedures, policies, and operational responsibilities.
• Coach and mentor security officers.
• Assist with onboarding and development of new personnel when assigned.
• Complete detailed incident reports, activity logs, and operational documentation.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with site procedures.
• Communicate operational concerns and incidents effectively to supervisors, leadership, and security personnel.
• Conduct patrols and respond quickly to incidents as required.
