About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Concierge Security Officer for a shopping plaza in San Diego, California. This customer-service-focused role involves working with people in settings such as shopping centers and building confidence through welcoming, engaging, and assisting visitors. Two schedules are listed: 32 hours per week, Saturday through Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. (2nd shift); or 24 hours per week, Monday and Tuesday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. (1st and 2nd shifts). Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Have exceptional customer service skills.
• Be proficient in basic phone and computer skills.
• Hold a state security license (BSIS Guard Card) and have completed additional 32-hour BSIS security training; additional training may be obtained during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Welcome visitors, verify their identities, and guide them.
• Manage access control.
• Conduct regular patrols to identify potential risks.
• Inspect security equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Respond to incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams.
• Answer questions in person or by phone.
• Write incident reports and communicate security concerns.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of people and property.
