About The Position

Lucky Bastard Saloon is seeking professional, high- energy, assertive, outgoing individuals with a positive attitude for the unarmed professional Security Guard position. This position requires an individual to have a high attention to detail and maintain a safe, fun, exciting environment for our guests. The Security Professional should enhance the guests’ overall experience.

Requirements

Must have or be able to obtain shortly after hire an Armed or Unarmed Security Guard License issued by State of Tennessee
Must be 18+ years of age
Required to continually stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with guests and staff to deescalate and resolve situations verbally
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
Ability to remain polite, professional and respectful in all situations
Must be able to effectively physically engage a disorderly customer who becomes combative using minimal force and safe restraint techniques.
Must be able to wear ear piece for long periods of time to communicate issues

Previous Security & Door experience preferred

Responsibilities

Be an ambassador for the bar – you are the first person a guest sees walking in the door
Control legal entry to the bar by checking IDs, ensuring proper dress code, preventing entry with weapons, outside alcohol, etc….
Perform security patrols on foot around location
Monitor customers for irregular or unusual behavior that may create a security concern or safety hazard.
Serve as visible deterrent for inappropriate or unsafe behavior
Respond to security incidents professionally and calmly
Focus on deescalating situations when guests become disruptive.
Use safe restraint techniques when appropriate to protect the wellbeing of other customers, employees, and the disorderly customer.
Respond effectively to emergencies by providing first aid when necessary and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services
Assist with trash cans, spilled beverages, disruptive or belligerent behavior, all potential safety and risk issues
