About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Patrol Driver Access Control in Melville, New York. This part-time role provides a designated site and fixed weekly shift as a dependable base schedule, with a six-month commitment to the assignment. Employees may claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform and may build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The position pays $18.36 per hour and is scheduled for Monday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The role supports security and access control at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific procedures and carrying out appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and access-control systems, verify visitor authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate entry records.
• Respond calmly to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, business areas, and perimeter to identify and report security-related concerns.
• Help deter unauthorized access while supporting a professional, welcoming environment at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
