About The Position

A leading national security firm is hiring package screeners. Employees use screening technology to screen packages for prohibited items and perform equipment and record-keeping duties. The role requires a Security Officer License and an NJ SORA card. Screening methods include physical searches, explosive trace detection, and X-ray screening; training will be provided. Hours are Monday through Friday during late afternoon and evening.

Requirements

• A Security Officer License is required.
• An NJ SORA card is required.
• Ability to work as part of a team or group.

Responsibilities

• Screen packages according to employer guidelines and search for prohibited items and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
• Conduct physical searches, explosive trace detection, and X-ray screening.
• Calibrate and maintain screening technology.
• Maintain written logs of screened vehicles.
• Maintain working knowledge of emergency procedures and alarm resolution responsibilities.
• Complete daily logs and reports and provide them for review.
• Work as part of a team or group.
