About The Position

JCS Solutions is seeking an experienced technical individual contributor to support the Pentagon Reservation under the DISA Penetration Handling, Incident, System Health (PHISH) Support Services II program. The analyst supports a 24/7 Security Operations Center mission through continuous monitoring, detection, analysis, escalation, mitigation, and response to cybersecurity events affecting customer networks, endpoints, servers, applications, cloud environments, and mission systems. The role uses security telemetry, threat intelligence, analytic procedures, and operational tools to investigate suspicious activity, document findings, and coordinate response actions with senior analysts, incident responders, cyber engineers, system owners, and mission partners. The position requires availability for rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and inclement-weather operations. It requires 60 percent onsite work at the Mark Center in Alexandria, Virginia, consistent with program and customer requirements. The analyst works independently on day-to-day operational objectives and may own defined SOC projects or technical processes. The role also contributes to infrastructure and mission-support activities and may provide technical guidance, coaching, or review to less-experienced personnel. The position requires an active TS/SCI clearance and an active DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline and 4–8 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant military service, cybersecurity education, certifications, and professional experience. The general salary range is $75,000–$130,000, with compensation based on factors including location, qualifications, and applicable contract terms.

  • Ability to prepare clear case notes, incident summaries, shift-turnover products, and technical reports for technical and operational audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate across SOC operations, incident response, cyber engineering, system administration, and customer or mission-partner organizations.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned operational objectives, technical processes, or projects, while recognizing when to seek assistance or escalate risk.
