About The Position

Public Storage is seeking a Security Operations Center Manager to direct oversight of the company’s security operations center (SOC) team while driving the success of the security monitoring and response program. This role involves supervising daily operations of the security operations center, ensuring 24/7 coverage and effective incident response to security and safety incidents and emergencies through company monitoring systems. The manager will provide training and guidance to team members, enforce standard operating procedures, and use incident reporting and analytics to identify risk patterns and mitigate threats. This position will lead staff in addressing security and safety threats, collaborate with internal partners on strategic planning and incident response, coordinate crisis management and emergency response logistics, and build partnerships with law enforcement agencies. Ensuring efficient data and evidence collection, including accurate incident reporting and adherence to evidence retention standards, is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

7+ years of progressive experience in managing security and/or loss prevention teams in a multi-location environment.
Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, law enforcement or related field, or work history equivalent.
Expertise in leading emergency response and conducting investigations into security and safety incidents, including external theft, internal theft, fraud and workplace violence.
Familiarity as an end user with security and safety systems, intrusion detection and emergency notification technology.
Strong analytical and investigative skills and well versed in using a data driven approach to achieving results.
Experience in using Microsoft suite programs - Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes primarily overnight shifts.
Experience and comfort level working in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without restrictions or requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Prior experience managing teams in a Global Security Operations Center is preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with internal partners on strategic planning, preventative measures and incident response while supporting company initiatives.
Coordinate crisis management and emergency response logistics, including mass notifications and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Build and maintain productive partnerships with law enforcement agencies to drive and support timely incident response and thorough investigations into criminal activity.
Ensure efficient data and evidence collection, including accurate incident reporting and adherence to evidence retention standards.
