As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Site in Fort Lauderdale, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a fast-paced logistics and distribution location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor assigned areas, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Guard card is required.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, delivery-area concerns, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading and unloading areas, vehicle gates, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor, driver, and vehicle activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, reporting unusual conditions and maintaining required documentation.
• Support the orderly flow of deliveries and shipments by observing designated traffic and staging areas and reporting hazards, damaged property, or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
