About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Armed Patrol Security Officer to serve and safeguard a financial institution in Providence, Rhode Island. The officer will conduct routine armed patrols, maintain a visible security presence, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. The role requires a valid concealed carry weapons permit and emphasizes customer service, clear communication, teamwork, and adherence to company and client procedures. The position pays $30.16 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Thursday, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Employees can use the company’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. Requirements

Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, and control entry to restricted areas according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, ATM locations, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document actions and observations.
Maintain reports, logs, and incident documentation in accordance with applicable laws, company policies, and client procedures for armed posts.
