About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol and Access Control in Harrisburg, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Data Centers, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a data center location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and/or emergency response activities within a data center location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and other security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help support authorized access, direct visitors appropriately, and report suspicious behavior and/or policy concerns.
• Assist with incident reporting, note-taking, and follow-up communication regarding security-related matters, medical facility procedures, and/or customer service concerns.
