About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Associate in Lancaster, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers and staff. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys customer service, clear communication, and teamwork while bringing integrity, reliability, and innovation to each shift.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail environment.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor high-traffic areas, assist with access and crowd flow during busy periods, and support loss prevention awareness by observing and reporting suspicious behavior.
• Support closing and opening activities, check doors and exterior areas, and communicate with management and/or local responders when conditions call for additional assistance.
