Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an educational location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with campus contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, residence areas, parking lots, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor guidance, after-hours entry procedures, and/or policy-related inquiries while maintaining a professional presence across the location.
  • Support campus events, daily operations, and special activities by observing surroundings, reporting hazards or maintenance concerns, and following post orders and emergency protocols.
