About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer in a receptionist and driving role at an aerospace and defense location in Dallas, Texas. The officer will welcome visitors, support access control and badge processes, monitor entry activity, and provide customer service. The driving post requires a valid driver's license. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and pays $21.00 per hour.

Requirements

Valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to drug screening to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification.
Experience with access control and badges.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Guard card or license.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and guests at the front desk.
Monitor facility access by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining visitor logs, and directing guests according to site policies.
Answer calls, manage inquiries, provide directions, and communicate professionally with site personnel and external contacts.
Observe lobby and entry activity, report unusual or security-related concerns, and help deter unauthorized access.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established emergency response procedures.
