About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer Reception Security at a commercial real estate location in Boston, Massachusetts, you will serve as a welcoming and professional presence for tenants, visitors, and staff. You will support access control, monitor activity, respond to security-related concerns, and provide customer service and communication. The role is part of Allied Universal’s security team, whose stated values include care, teamwork, and integrity. The schedule is Friday and Saturday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $23.00 per hour. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and direct people to appropriate offices or building areas.
Monitor lobby activity, access points, and security-related systems; report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and access issues according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, including contacting building personnel or emergency responders as appropriate.
Maintain accurate visitor logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
Provide professional telephone and reception support.
