About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a cultural institution in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this screening role, you will welcome visitors, monitor access points, and conduct screening procedures to help maintain a secure environment. You will remain visible, communicate professionally, report security-related concerns, and provide customer service while supporting a positive guest experience. The position pays $14.00 per hour and is scheduled Wednesday through Saturday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Requirements

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require being at least 21 years of age.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Screen visitors, belongings, and incoming items according to site procedures, using screening equipment and access-control processes as assigned.
Verify visitor credentials and direct guests to appropriate entrances, screening areas, exhibits, and other designated locations.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, promptly communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned public areas, entrances, exhibit spaces, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
